What’s in my Diaper Bag? /
Mama Martina Review

You’re easily going to be able to believe how much stuff I carry around everywhere for my 2-year old and 10-month old.

What you’re not going to be able to believe is how I fit it in this gorgeous diaper bag…
I have been SO EXCITED to share about it with you.
(And nope, this is NOT a Sponsored Post.)

I found Mama Martina through Instagram. The picture I first saw was of their Navy Blue + White striped Alex diaper bag, and if you are in-the-know, you know I’m overly-obsessed with the navy blue+white stripe combo (i.e.: my house curtains, I own shirts of it, even one of the blankets I use as a nursing cover shown in these pictures below, even my shower curtain.. I know, I know….), so I went to the site to check it out. Then I saw the Navy Blue + Green striped one, and actually loved it, dare I say, more! (Right, what?)  I thought it was gorgeous, so immediately wanted to investigate the functionality of the bag. And so where to next? YouTube, of course. I watched three review videos, and after that, it seemed like a no-brainer. This was the bag I’d been wanting, but hadn’t been able to find within my price range. Til now.

It is SO stylish, and of good quality. My only complaint is it needed a couple threads clipped upon arrival (maybe that’s just the military-girl in me?),
but it is made with vegan leather, and has a solid bottom so it stands up on its own.
Can I just say how much easier that little detail makes life?? Seriously.

Also, the shoulder straps are super comfortable and NEVER slip off or hurt! Never. #ChristmasMiracle

The lobster claw clasps on the shoulder straps, as well as stroller straps (included), both look classy and make it super effortless to clip and unclip when needed. I love how solidly they’re made, as well.

The ‘Alex’ bags come with matching changing pads, and let me just give the changing pad the stage for a minute…
It’s truly an awesome changing pad. It’s the perfect thickness to be cushiony, but not bulky when it’s folded up in your bag.
(I even use it as a dividing wall in there sometimes.)

It’s a nice extra– especially that it matches. Thank you, Mama Martina.

There is one external pocket and one internal pocket. They are really a perfect size.
Not too deep to where you’re standing there digging around like a crazy person while your kids are demanding your attention, but somehow they hold a ton.
To help gauge the size, I’ll tell you my fully open hand fits the width and depth of the pockets exactly.

At first glance, it doesn’t look like a lot of room inside, but it IS!!!
And four cup-holders?! The diaper bag gods have smiled upon us.

Here’s how I utilize mine…
Ready to see all you can have going on in this thing?
It’s pretty awesome.

One cup holder holds my water bottle,
one holds the Puffs container,
another holds Maddelyn’s water cup,
and the final one is the Snack Pocket.

All of these can slide up and out and back down again with ZERO struggle. It’s honestly like magic.

So here’s what all is actually happening in there…

Puffs, water cups, wipes, size 3 diapers, size 5 diapers, an ABC book, my bag of Mommy Things, my wallet, tissues, a Lara Bar for Maddelyn, emergency crayons, Maddelyn’s restaurant fork, Drew’s bib, three teethers, a pacifier and clip, teeth biscuits and baby food pouches, sunglasses, pens, headphones, the changing pad, and the extra blanket I use as a nursing cover or whatever.

The ‘Mommy Things’ pouch is from LiveStyled’s Etsy shop, and has honestly been an organizational lifesaver for me. I also have one that says ‘Maddelyn Things’ and one that says ‘Drew Things,’ and in those I put their extra changes of clothes and socks, extra pacifiers, hats, things like that. These keep me so stress-free because they make it easy to keep track of what both babies have at-the-ready, as well as give me an easily-accessible space for my stuff, too.

My husband actually asked if I got him a ‘Daddy Things’ pouch, too. Guess he felt left out. But they’re just that useful.

All of this fits in ‘my’ pouch, which fits easily in the diaper bag.
I do put Maddelyn’s and Drew’s pouches on top of everything photographed in the diaper bag here,
if I need to throw them in, and it all fits perfectly.

My favorite part is… and I don’t know if it has to do with the design of the weight distribution or what, but… this bag NEVER feels heavy. Truly. No matter what I carry, how much I carry, or how long I carry it for, it still feels light on my shoulder! Amazing. I kinda can’t get over it.

I’ve carried it around the Santa Monica pier, downtown Los Angeles all evening, to the playground, all over the place, and literally almost forget it’s there. You’ll have to take my word for it, but it’s something I can tell you that if you tried yourself, you’d agree and you’d fall in love with your bag even more.

It looks great, it feels great, and yeah, it’s the best I’ve found.
It ticks ALL the boxes.

Including the one that says when you’re done using it as a diaper bag,
you can still use it as a tote bag or an overnight bag! Perfect size.
If that’s not a win-win, I don’t know what is.

It would make a great gift for a new or seasoned mom alike!

The ‘Alex’ Bag

You’ll always feel like you have the Luck of the Irish with this one. It’s a must-have in my book.

Hope you’re having a great St. Patrick’s Day!!

I need a bag like this! I’m going to check them out for sure. So many diaper bags have a zillion pockets which to me, just adds more bulk. Thanks for the review!
